The 24-hour Tokyo Subway Ticket (about ¥1,000), the Ghibli Museum (¥1,000), the Enoshima-Kamakura Freepass (about ¥1,640), Shin-Enoshima Aquarium (about ¥2,800), the Great Buddha (¥300), Hasedera (¥400) and the Hoanden hall (about ¥200). Add JR fares on day 2 and the short Keisei fare to Yotsugi.
Best time to go
Spring and autumn. Day 2 is mostly indoors if the weather turns.
Closing days
The Ghibli Museum is usually closed on Tuesdays and sells tickets by date and entry time only, so fix day 2 first.
Walking (our estimate)
Heavy: roughly 8–12 km a day. Day 2 is the lightest.
Our three Tokyo routes in one trip, with a single hotel. Day 1 crosses the city by subway, from the Jujutsu Kaisen crossing in Shibuya to Sailor Moon's Azabu-Juban and the Captain Tsubasa statues in Yotsugi. Day 2 starts at Kanda Myojin and Akihabara, then rides the JR Chuo Line west to the Ghibli Museum in Mitaka. Day 3 leaves the city for the sea: the Enoden to Kamakura and the Rascal Does Not Dream places on Enoshima. The Ghibli Museum sells tickets by date and entry time only, so get those first and build the other days around them. Short on time? Drop day 1 or day 3 and it becomes a 2-day trip.

Shibuya Scramble Crossing
Come early, before the crowds peak. The anime's official site publishes a map of Shibuya Incident locations. Photograph from the sidewalk or from a station walkway, never from the road.
Take the subway from Shibuya to Azabu-Juban; check a route planner for the best way.

Azabu-Juban Shopping Street
Minato City installed seven Sailor Moon manhole covers in the ward. One is at the entrance of the Azabu-Juban shopping street, which also has shops that appear in the work and places the author used to visit.
Tokyo Tower appears again and again in the series. Two more of the city's manhole covers are nearby, in front of Minato City Library and in front of the Shiba water supply station. The official Minato City page has a map of all seven covers.

Head east to Keisei Yotsugi Station; check a route planner for the trains.

Captain Tsubasa statues
Katsushika City placed statues of Tsubasa and his teammates around Yotsugi and Tateishi. The life-size Tsubasa in Yotsugi Tsubasa Park was the first. A statue map is handed out at Keisei Yotsugi and Tateishi stations, among other places, and there is an English version.
A shrine and Akihabara's shops in the morning, the Ghibli Museum and Inokashira Park in the afternoon.

Morning
Kanda Myojin Shrine
Arrive before the shops open. The shrine is a 5-min walk from Ochanomizu Station (JR Hijiribashi exit or Tokyo Metro Marunouchi Line exit 1) and a 7-min walk from Akihabara Station's Electric Town exit. The shrine has offered anime collaboration charms and ema over the years; what is on offer changes, so look at the amulet office when you visit.
Walk down to Akihabara Station (about 7 min). The building opens at about 10:00 and has floors of figure, card, doll and hobby shops up to a 10th-floor event space. Steins;Gate fans know it from the start of the story. The summer 2026 Steins;Gate RE:BOOT. collaboration has ended; check the building's news page for new events.
Eat around Akihabara Station, then take the JR Chuo Line to Mitaka; check a route planner for the way from Akihabara. Book a museum entry time of about 14:00 or later so you are not rushed.
Early afternoon
Mitaka Station → Ghibli Museum
From the south exit it is about 15 min on foot, or take the community bus that runs every 15 min during opening hours (pay by cash or IC card). Arrive within your ticket's entry window.

Afternoon
Ghibli Museum
Allow 2–3 hours for the exhibits, the short film in the Saturn Theater and the rooftop garden. The museum asks visitors not to take photos inside the building.
If you still have energy, the JR lines reach Ikebukuro via Shinjuku. Animate's flagship store is open until roughly 21:00; Pokémon Center MEGA TOKYO closes at roughly 20:00.
Enoden to Kamakura and the Great Buddha, back along the coast to Enoshima, Rascal locations in the afternoon, sunset on the beach.
Early morning
Shinjuku → Fujisawa → Kamakura
With the Enoshima-Kamakura Freepass, take the Odakyu Line from Shinjuku to Fujisawa, then ride the Enoden the whole line to Kamakura (about 34 min). Fujisawa Station also appears in the anime's opening; the tourist association notes the area has changed since, due to renovation work.
Morning
Hase: Great Buddha and Hasedera (general sightseeing)
Not an anime stop, but the best of Kamakura on this line. Enoden from Kamakura to Hase takes about 5 min. The Great Buddha at Kotoku-in is about 10 min on foot from Hase Station, and Hasedera Temple about 5 min.
Late morning
Hase → Enoshima by Enoden
About 20 min along the coast. Stay on the train past Kamakura-Kokomae: the crossing there is a residential area (see the FAQ).

Midday
Shin-Enoshima Aquarium
About 10 min on foot from Enoden Enoshima Station. The tourist association lists it in episodes 1 and 5; the association suggests a photo with the rays in the big Sagami Bay tank. Admission about ¥2,800 (adult). Hours change by season (often 9:00–17:00, last entry 16:00), so check the calendar on the official site.
The pedestrian bridge to the island, about 400 m long, from episode 5. Walk it slowly: the view back over Sagami Bay is the reason to come. Mt. Fuji is visible from the bridge on a clear day.
The shopping street up to the shrine, where Sakuta and Tomoe go in episode 6. The tourist association suggests shirasu (whitebait) rice bowls and tako senbei (pressed octopus crackers).
Enoshima Shrine and the Sea Candle (general sightseeing)
Enoshima Shrine is three shrines along the island's path, starting with Hetsumiya at the top of Nakamise. The Hoanden hall with the Benzaiten statues is open 8:30–16:30 (about ¥200, adult). A paid outdoor escalator (Escar) saves the stairs. Further up, the Sea Candle lighthouse tower in the Samuel Cocking Garden is usually open until roughly 20:00.

Sunset at Katase Nishihama
Walk back over the bridge to the beach west of the station, where the heroines walk in the ending sequences. The beach has views of Enoshima and Mt. Fuji. It is a public beach, busy with swimmers in summer.
Advance tickets only, for a set date and entry time; none are sold at the museum. Tickets for the next month go on sale at 10 a.m. Japan time on the 10th of each month through Lawson Ticket, which has an English site.

A 1-day pass: Odakyu round trip from Shinjuku plus unlimited rides on Odakyu in the Enoshima area and on the whole Enoden line. The Romancecar needs a separate seat ticket.

Visiting with respect
Shibuya Crossing is a working road. Cross with the lights, don't stop in the middle for photos, and don't set up tripods on the sidewalk.
Azabu-Juban and Yotsugi are neighborhoods where people live. Keep your voice down and don't photograph residents or their homes.
Kanda Myojin is an active shrine. Bow at the gate, keep your voice down, and give way to people praying and to ceremonies.
Ask staff before taking photos inside shops.
Photos are not allowed inside the Ghibli Museum. Put your phone away and just take it in.
Never step onto the Enoden tracks for a photo. The railway warns of the danger of being hit by a train; the line runs close to roads in places.
Take your trash home from the island and the beach.

FAQ
Can I do this in 2 days?
Yes. Keep day 2 for the Ghibli Museum and pick either day 1 (central Tokyo) or day 3 (Kamakura and Enoshima). Each day also works on its own as one of our 1-day routes.
Which day should the Ghibli Museum be?
Whichever date you get a ticket for. The museum sells advance tickets only, for a set date and entry time, so book it first and move the other two days around it.
Do I need to change hotels?
No. Every day starts and ends in central Tokyo. Shinjuku is the easiest base because day 2 ends on the JR Chuo Line and day 3 starts on Odakyu.
Which pass should I buy?
Check the Tokyo Subway Ticket for day 1 and the Enoshima-Kamakura Freepass for day 3.
Can I still see the life-size Gundam in Odaiba?
No. The official site says the life-size Unicorn Gundam statue ended its display on August 31, 2026. This route goes to Yotsugi instead.
