Azabu-Juban Shopping Street

Getting there

The shopping street's own site lists two nearest stations, both named Azabu-juban: one on the Toei Oedo Line and one on the Tokyo Metro Namboku Line. For drivers, it recommends the Azabu-Juban public parking garage, a mechanical garage under Kanjo-3 street that holds 317 cars and charges about 200 yen per 30 minutes between 8:00 and 22:00. The garage has size limits, so check them on the association's page first.

The manhole cover and the commemorative card

Minato City says this cover, showing Sailor Moon and Tuxedo Mask, is the one at the entrance to the shopping street, and that the entrance is where the two characters reunite in the story. The city says Minato was the first place in Japan to install Sailor Moon design covers, finishing the first five in March 2024 and adding a sixth in March 2026 and a seventh in May 2026.

The city also hands out one free manhole card per person at the Minato City Tourist Information Center on the first floor of Fudanotsuji Square. It is open 9:00 to 17:00 every day except the year-end holidays, and the city does not give cards to proxies, take reservations or mail them. Maps in English and other languages are available from the city's information centers, including the one at Tokyo Tower.

Visiting manners

The city asks visitors to check their surroundings, not to block pedestrians, and not to shoot from the roadway or lie on the sidewalk. The shopping association says many retail shops close around 8 p.m. and restaurants around 11 p.m..
