This policy explains what information AnimeTrails ("we") handles when you use this website.

No accounts, no analytics

You do not need an account to use this site, and we do not collect your name or contact details while you browse. We do not currently use any analytics or advertising tracking tools, and we do not set our own cookies. If we add an analytics tool in the future, we will update this page before it goes live.

Choices such as the map colour theme are kept only in the open page and are not stored. Like any website, our hosting provider and the map tile provider receive standard technical data (such as your IP address and browser type) when your browser requests pages and map images, and may keep it in server logs for security and operation.

Affiliate links and third-party cookies

Some links go to partner sites such as hotel and activity booking services. When you click one, the partner (or its affiliate network) may set cookies in your browser to record that you came from AnimeTrails, so that we can receive a commission if you book. Those cookies are set and controlled by the partner, under the partner's own privacy policy. We do not receive your name, payment details or booking details — only aggregate reports of clicks and commissions. You can block or delete these cookies in your browser settings.

When you contact us

If you email us, we receive your email address and whatever you write. We use it only to reply and to fix the issue you raised. We do not add you to any mailing list, and we do not sell or share it, except where required by law. We delete messages once they are no longer needed.

Children

This site is a general travel guide and does not knowingly collect personal information from children.

We may update this policy; the date above shows the latest version. A contact address will be posted on the About page.
