The three areas and how long to allow

PokéPark KANTO describes itself as the first permanent Pokémon facility and says more than 600 Pokémon live across its forest and town. It is made up of three areas: the Entrance Plaza, the Pokémon Forest and Kayatsuri Town. The Entrance Plaza and Kayatsuri Town have no age limit, while the forest needs a Trainer's Pass or an Elite Trainer's Pass.

The forest trail is about 500 meters long, with uneven paths, grass, tunnels and mountain trails. The park says the walk takes roughly 60 minutes and asks visitors to wear clothes and shoes that can get dirty. Kayatsuri Town has a Pokémon Center, a Friendly Shop, a gym with daily stage shows, and two rides, Pikapika Paradise and Buibui Voyage. The rides need a separate ticket from the ticket wagon in town.

Rules to know before arriving

Everything inside is cashless, and cash is not accepted. From admissions on November 1, 2026, staff will check each visitor's photo ID against the name registered when the ticket was bought. Bags are inspected at entry. Bottles, cans, alcohol, outside food, suitcases, selfie sticks, tripods and drones are on the banned list. Pets are not allowed, except assistance dogs.

Children under 5 and their companions are asked not to enter the forest, and strollers are not allowed there either. The park and Yomiuriland can be re-entered on the day of the visit. Without an Elite Trainer's Pass, only Kayatsuri Town can be re-entered.

Getting to the park

The park sits inside the Yomiuriland amusement park. Its access page recommends reaching Yomiuriland from Keio-Yomiuriland Station on the Sky Shuttle gondola, then following the signs from the Yomiuriland entrance gate. For car navigation, the park asks visitors to enter the Yomiuriland address in Tama Ward, Kawasaki.
