Kagawa, Japan's udon prefecture, has an official partnership with Slowpoke (Yadon in Japanese). Slowpoke manhole covers (Poké Lids) are installed in all 17 municipalities of Kagawa, including Ayagawa. Slowpoke buses, ferries and taxis also run around the prefecture.

Manhole covers across the prefecture

The Pokemon Company's local-project page says Slowpoke manhole covers, known as Poke Lids, are installed in all 17 cities and towns of Kagawa Prefecture. The designs show each area's scenery with lively groups of Slowpoke, and Kagawa's udon noodles are part of the theme. Ayagawa is one of these towns.

Stamp rally and collaboration goods

A stamp rally runs from April 24 to December 31, 2026. Collecting three round tourism stamps and one square ticket stamp earns an entry for a prize draw, with a mail-in deadline of January 5, 2027 (postmark counts). Prizes are 10 Slowpoke plates in Kagawa lacquerware and 30 sets of collaboration goods. The leaflet is free, and the organizers ask for one entry per person and no reselling.

Slowpoke Park and the transport

The site also lists Hidamari Park Ayagawa, nicknamed Slowpoke Park, in Ayagawa town, open 7:00 to 20:00. Slowpoke ferries on the Takamatsu-Tonosho and Himeji-Fukuda routes, and airport limousine buses linking Takamatsu Airport with Takamatsu, Marugame (via Ayagawa) and other areas, are operated by the regular transport companies. Schedules can change for inspections or maintenance, so check each operator before traveling.
