A shopping street of about 800 m, opened in 1993, that runs from Sakaiminato Station to the museum in the hometown of the creator of GeGeGe no Kitaro. It is lined with more than 170 bronze yokai statues, all lit from sunset to 10 p.m., when shadow-puppet yokai are also projected onto the pavement. Kappa Spring, a small plaza with a tower and nine yokai statues, is one of the resting spots along the way.
