Hours and what the complex offers

The tourism association lists the gallery as open 10:00 to 19:00 with no regular closing day, and says admission is free. It describes the displays as Girls und Panzer goods and a record of how the town and the series grew together. The building around it, nicknamed Seasute, is described as a seaside shopping complex that gathers a shop selling only Girls und Panzer goods, souvenir stores and restaurants.

Panels around town and getting about

The tourism association's Girls und Panzer page says life-size panels of 54 characters have been displayed around the town since a 2013 event, and panels of all 45 tanks from the series are also set up. The panels are not full-size tanks but are fairly large. Because shops sometimes put the panels inside on closing days or in bad weather, a panel may not be out.

The association asks visitors not to touch the panels, because they are fragile, and not to stop on the road to take photos. It also notes that the streets there are narrow living roads.

Bikes and buses

The Umimachi Terrace information center rents electric-assist bicycles. The association lists the small-wheel model at about 1,000 yen for 4 hours or about 1,500 yen for a day, from 9:00 to 17:30. An e-bike is also available, at about 1,500 yen for 2 hours or about 3,000 yen for a day. A town circulation bus called Kaiyu-go also runs a route that includes the Oarai Sun Beach area.
