The observatory at the top of Daikichiyama Scenic Park, reached by a walking path of about 1 km, looks over the Uji River and Byodo-in. It is on the official Sound! Euphonium location map and is a stamp point in the 2026 early course. The map asks visitors to take care with voices and noise at night, out of consideration for nearby residents.

A city park on a nature trail
Uji City describes Daikichiyama Scenic Park as part of the Tokai Nature Trail, a long-distance walking route, and a local recreation spot used by a wide range of ages. The park covers 4.00 hectares, and the roughly 1 km path has a rest shelter along the way. From the summit lookout, the city says, visitors can see over the city, with the Uji River and the Phoenix Hall of Byodo-in below.

Where it fits in the 2026 stamp rally
Keihan's Sound! Euphonium page lists the Daikichiyama lookout in the first-half course of its digital stamp rally, which runs Sept. 1 to Oct. 31. That course also includes the Ikawa waterway pump station front and Ujibashi Bridge. The second half, Nov. 1 to Dec. 20, covers different spots, including Agata Shrine and Kohata Shrine.
Completing a course earns a character photo frame. A location map was handed out from Sept. 1, 2026 while supplies last, at major Keihan stations, the Uji City Tourist Center, the tourist information office in front of Keihan Uji Station and a civic center near JR Uji Station. The page also asks visitors to keep voices and noise down, especially at night, out of consideration for nearby residents.
