How the Kyoto Base experience is framed

The park's page presents the attraction as a recruitment of new pilots: NERV has set up a "Third New Kyoto Branch" in Uzumasa, and applicants take aptitude tests, have their sync rate measured and undergo a boarding test. The tagline invites visitors to board an entry plug and aim for a high sync rate. The last admission to the attraction is listed as 17:15, and a notice says it can be earlier when the park is crowded.

Tickets, hours and the two gates

The park lists a one-day ticket (10:00 to 21:00) at about 2,800 yen for adults (junior high age and up) and about 1,600 yen for children aged 3 to elementary age. A night-time ticket valid from 17:00 to 21:00 is about 2,000 yen for adults and about 1,300 yen for children. These prices apply until the second phase of the park opens in spring 2027, so check the operator's page before you go.

Entry closes 60 minutes before the park closes. The main gate is about 5 minutes on foot from Uzumasa-Koryuji Station on the Randen line, while the studio gate is about 2 minutes from Satsueisho-mae Station and about 5 minutes from JR Uzumasa Station, with entry there only until 17:00.
