Ticket prices and discounts

The museum's guide lists admission, tax included, at about 2,000 to about 2,500 yen for both children aged 1 and over and adults, defined as junior high school age and up. The price depends on the date, and the museum publishes a price calendar. Tickets go on sale 10:00 a.m. 28 days before the visit date.

Holders of a Japanese disability certificate can enter at half price, as can one companion. These visitors do not need an advance timed web ticket and can buy on the day at the museum ticket counter on the 2nd floor, whatever the web sales status. The half-price rate is shown as about 1,000 to about 1,250 yen. The shopping mall on the 1st floor is free to enter.

Routes from stations and by road

The museum's access page gives a walking route from the nearest station. Take the Duo Kobe underground arcade toward the waterfront, come up at exits 25 or 26, and follow Kobe Gas Lamp Street, nicknamed Anpanman Street, toward the umie MOSAIC complex. The Ferris wheel is the landmark. Other walks listed are about 13 minutes from Kosoku Kobe Station on the Hankyu, Hanshin and Sanyo lines, and about 8 minutes from Harborland Station on the Kobe Municipal Subway Kaigan Line.

From Shin-Kobe Station on the Sanyo Shinkansen, the museum suggests the subway or a bus. The Minato Kanko route bus No. 22 takes about 20 minutes to Mosaic-mae, then about 4 minutes on foot, though it runs infrequently. There is no dedicated car park, and the Hanshin Expressway Kyobashi or Yanagihara exits are about 5 minutes away by car.
