Tetsujin 28-go Monument, Wakamatsu Park

Kobe, Hyogo, Japan

A steel figure of Mitsuteru Yokoyama's giant robot stands in Wakamatsu Park, a few minutes' walk from Shin-Nagata Station. The City of Kobe says it was completed in October 2009 as a symbol of recovery from the 1995 earthquake, built by the KOBE Tetsujin Project with the local shopping streets to honor Yokoyama, who was from Kobe. It is outdoors in a public park, free, with no fixed hours.
