Getting to the shrine
The shrine says it is about 3 minutes on foot from Chichibu Station on the Chichibu Railway, or about 15 minutes from Seibu-Chichibu Station on the Seibu line. From Ikebukuro, the Seibu Red Arrow limited express runs with all seats reserved and no transfer, in about 80 minutes. Its address is Bamba-cho 1-3, Chichibu.
Where it falls on the city's pilgrimage route
Chichibu City's travel guide includes the shrine in a one-day model course for fans of Anohana and a later film set in the same area. That course begins with a pilgrimage map picked up at the Chichibu Tourist Information Center in front of Seibu-Chichibu Station. The route ends in the afternoon with a stroll of about 50 minutes that takes in Chichibu Shrine and Bamba-dori street before reaching Seibu-Chichibu Station.
The shrine's enshrined deity is Myoken-sama, and its site says the shrine accepts prayer requests every day from 9:00 to 16:30 at the offering office in front of the main hall.
