The Anime Tourism Association's official list of 88 anime spots, compiled with the rights holders, designates Onomichi as the pilgrimage town for the Fafner in the Azure series. The entry names the town rather than individual buildings, so the setting is the whole strait: the waterfront, the alleys climbing the hill and the view from Senkoji Park over the channel to Mukaishima. The ropeway up the hill runs roughly 9:00-17:15.
