Karatsu is the model for Yuri's hometown of Hasetsu, and Saga Prefecture has run official collaborations with the series. Karatsu Castle and the surrounding Maizuru Park appear as a training spot. An official pilgrimage map is handed out at the tourist center at Karatsu Station.
